When I was headed to St. Kitts I was full of excitement to hike Mt. Liamuiga, volcano, zip line, do an ATV ride and golf the St. Kitts Marriott Resort’s world championship golf course but when I landed my excitement began to shrink. Tropical storm Ernesto was viscously bringing the rain as I went through customs and finally arrived to the St. Kitts Marriott Resort and Royal Beach Casino. Check out the webisode to see how I managed to make the best of this trip!
Escape to New Orleans is a 4-part web series exploring the Crescent City with co-host Christen Rochen of Diva and Dorks. We hoped in a brand new 2012 Ford Escape and spent four fun days going off the beaten path hitting up the neighborhoods of Magazine street, Frenchman street, Treme and Oak street. Check out Day 1 as we spend the day shopping at Re:Fresh and Magazine street boutiques. Turn in each week to discover new reasons to escape to New Orleans! The web series is presented by Essence magazine and sponsored by the 2013 Ford Escape.
Traveling around the Costa Rica the term “Pura Vida” is thrown around with the frequency of a broken record but the discover of its meaning escalates with every minute. The moment I passed thru gates of the Palms Residence Club I knew I reached the pinnacle of Pura Vida. The Palms Residence Club, located in the Guanacaste region is one of those places you surrender your passport to the staff and hope they never tell you to leave.
I’m truly excited to share my South Africa safari webisode with you. Since I was a child I dreamed of going on safari and seeing wildlife in its natural habitat. This experience was truly a dream come true! I spotted the big 5 game: African elephant, rhino, cape buffalo, leopard and lion.
Over the course of four game drives I was able to see the big five in one day and the rest of the wildlife in Kruger Park. During our game drives I spotted zebras, impalas, wildebeests, giraffes, hippos, wart hogs, baboons, spiders, crocodile, tortoise and beautiful flora.
The big five is a term coined by hunters because the African Elephant, Cape Buffalo, Rhino, Leopard and Lion were the most difficult animals in Africa to hunt on foot.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to see a wild animal devour his prey in person? Well, I wondered how the experience would be and I’m excited to share my encounter with a leopard nicknamed Mangela who tore off the head of a baby waterbuck for dinner.
Over the years flying commercial in the States has become a tiresome job. The labor of buying three ounce bottles for liquids, paying extra fees for checked bags, strip searches to go through security, figuring out where to park, getting dropped off or taking a train and/or bus to the airport has become quite cumbersome. Today, I had the chance to fly private and kicker is I’m going to Kruger Park for safari!
Check out the trailer for my trip to South Africa and visit to Johannesburg, Kruger Park, Cape Town and Durban. The web series will debut April 1 and will take you to Johannesburg, Kruger Park, Cape Town and Durban. Get ready to enjoy this beautiful country because it will surprise you every step of the way
Today was my birthday and my girlfriend kidnapped and surprised me with a wine tasting tour at the World of Wine (WoW) barrel tasting in Temecula Valley. The Temecula Valley Winegrowers Association’s two-day event features 34 participating vineyards sampling their best wines with food pairings. My girlfriend had foresight to find a company that offered a shuttle to drive us to nine of the vineyards on March 4.
